:: HISTORY Bangsaphan was an ancient city since Ayutthaya kingdom . In Thonburi kingdom, it was named Mueang Kamnoed Nopphakhun. King Rama III of Rattamnakosin set Kamnoed Nopphakhun to be a 4th class city under the Kalahom (Defence ministry). King Rama V downgraded the city to be Mueang Kamnoed Nopphakhun district. In 1915 King Rama VI renamed the district by cut the word Mueang off. Later the king changed the name to be Bang Saphan. :: CURRENT BANGSAPHAN Bangsaphan is a small provincial city of Prachuabkhirikhan. The provincial capital is a fishing port with a superb location beside beautiful curving bays and amongst steep mountain outcrops. Neighboring district are Thap Sakae to the north and Bang Saphan Noi to the south. To the west is the Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar, to the east the Gulf of Thailand. Bangsaphan, near the Burmese border, is located 380 km south of Bangkok, in approximately 4 and a 1/2 hours by road. There are 2 Bangsaphans, which are Bangsaphan Noi (Small Bangsaphan) and Bangsaphan Yai (Big Bangsaphan) located along Prachuabkririkhan province. It's easy to reach by car, train or even by bus. :: KOH THALU (THALU ISLAND) Koh Thalu, a private island, located in the Gulf of Thailand. It's just around 30 minutes boat ride from our resort, where you can take a day trip, or go for fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, sailing, trekking or just for relaxing. It's a small limestone island where a natural stone bridge located at the middle. The natural stone bridge caused by sea wave erosion from time to time. Natural feature around the island is plenty of big rocks without beach. There is a small coral line at the west side of the Island. Various types of coral are Khaokwang, Jarn, Korn, and big size of brain coral allocated around the mentioned area. With all features, Thalu Island became one famous place for traveling and diving nearly Bangkok. By car : The journey from Bangkok to the hotel takes less than 4 and a 1/2 hours. Drive your car from Bangkok down south to Prachuabkhirikhan on Phetchkasem Road -> to Cha-am -> to Hua Hin -> to Bangsaphan By public transport : Take a bus from Southern Bus Terminal (Khon Song Sai Tai) to Bangsaphan, which operates by The Transport Co., Ltd. The fare is approx. Baht. By train : Take a train from Hualamphong Central Station in Bangkok to all southern lines. All passes through Bangsaphan, Prachuabkhirikhan.
