Our hotel and flowery manor garden is situated by the lake Mockeln, in between shady beech woods. The nature parks Kronan, Taxas and Hoo with their enclosed pastures, groves, winding paths and dramatic ravines are our neighbors. Their ancient biotopes give shelter to rare and preserved herbs and animals that the Swedish legal right of access to open country invites you to discover. Next to us you also find a new built Orangery in memory of the great Swedish 18-th century scientist Carl von Linne. His birthplace Rashult is situated nearby. Even though this is a genuine part of the Swedish countryside, the populated areas are not really far from here. The small university town Vaxjo is located just a few miles away and from Malmo and Copenhagen airport there are direct trains to Almhult, our nearest village. Our kitchen is using ecological products as much and often as it can. In our light and beautiful dining-hall with a fantastic view of the lakes mirror, your meal is guaranteed to be a moment of pleasure, no matter what you choose from our varied menu. Next to the Manor you will find the Orangery, built in memory of the great Swedish 18th century scientist Carl von Linne. Here you can browse among more than 800 plants arranged in neat beds entirely under his Linnaeus Systema Naturae.
