The 3 star Basilisk hotel is in the east of Basel- known as Kleinbasel- less than 500m from the Basel Messe Congress and Exhibition center and easily accessible for the center of Basel- the old town and popular squares such as Marktplatz and Claraplatz. The train station is 2km away and Basel Mulhouse airport is 6km and has excellent transport links. Guests are provided with a mobility ticket to enjoy public transport in Basel for free. The old town of Basel can be reached via a delightful 5-minute Ferry ride. The Basilisk has been run by the same family for 3 generations and is known for its friendly staff and great value accommodation. Having been fully refurbished each of the 50 bedrooms are ensuite and have FREE High Speed WIFI- a Work desk- Digital TV- Digital safe large enough to accommodate a laptop-Direct dial telephone-2 complimentary bottles of Mineral Water- Hairdryer and basic toiletries. The Basilisk does not have a restaurant but there is a restaurant adjoined to the hotel which is a lively meeting hub for residents and locals alike. The hotel serves a Continental Buffet Breakfast in the Breakfast room. There is a lovely terrace shaded by an old Linden tree- a particularly charming spot to enjoy a refreshment and catch up on all that the day has brought. The hotel has secure parking is available on request and at an additional charge. Additional information; Children 0 - 3 years can use a crib or cot on request at no charge. Children 4 - 6 years can use an extra bed on request free of charge. Children aged 7 - 12 years pay CHF 20 per child per night. Children over 13 years are considered adults.
