This former storehouse built in the traditional Telemark timber style has been converted into self-catering accommodation, and is just 1 km from the village of Svarstad. The chalet-style cottage offers views out over the Lågendalen valley and has a large garden. Set over 3 floors, Sogn Gjestegard has 2 living rooms, a private bathroom and a kitchen with a cooker and fridge. The large garden area has furniture for relaxing outside, and the Numedalslågen river is only 300 metres away. Salmon fishing is popular in the area, and boat rental can be organised on site. Skiing is also possible at Svarstad ski centre just 4 km from Sogn Gjestegard. Nordgårdsetra farm is a 15-minute drive away, where can visit the animals and see the farmers at work. The town of Skien is 37 km away and was the birthplace of famous author Henrik Ibsen. Sandefjord Torp Airport is 47 km from the site.
