"My husband and I were in Krakow April 23 to 27, 2009, and wanted to stay at the Ibis, but since there was no room, they recommended the Kossak. And are we glad they did that!!
This new hotel is beautiful, clean, and with wonderful service. All the staff spoke English. The room we got was on the fifth floor and had a great view of the Wawel Castle and the Vistula River.
The restaurant (Percheron) served a good, tasty breakfast. We did not have dinner there as we wanted to try the many different restaurants.
The room itself was very modern and impeccable. Bed was good and firm. One problem is the strange pillows - one is very large size and the other very small size. We could never figure out what to do as neither one fit the purpose. The air conditioning worked wonderfully. The water pressure was good, and the temperature hot. The toiletries were of good quality, but the housekeeper was on to me and my usual habit of collecting them; she did not replace all those little bottles I had kept hidden in my suitcase.
There is a large Jubilat supermarket in the same block, which made it handy when wanting to purchase candy or chocolate or something to munch on in the room. The location cannot be beat! We walked around and found the Stare Miasto in no time.
We plan to visit Krakow again and will definitely stay at the Kossak. Thank you for your hospitality."
