Monopol Hotel is located in the heart of centre in old part of the city, on the cross of Dworcowa and Dyrekcyjna St. Renowated with a great style hotel was opened in Autumn 2003.
The history of the hotel dates back to early XIX century. Under the name of Monopol hotel was opened in 1903 and surely was one of the most luxurious places in Poland of the 20’s. Monopol was appreciated place for meetings of financial, artistic and intellectual elite. In May of 1934 Karol Szymanowski have stayed here, and at October 31, 1936 Jan Kiepura and Marta Eggerth had here their wedding. Hotel was visited also by Artur Rubinstein, Tadeusz Boy-Zelenski, Eugeniusz Bodo and many famous people. Now, 100 years after founding hotel was artistry renovated and waits for their guests. Original design, elegant interiors calls the atmosphere of 30’s in harmonic connection with modernity. The spirit of previous ages is alive again, and the history never ends.

Additional information

Please be informed, that you can approach our hotel by car, from Kochanowskiego Str., heading under the bridge and towards the Sw. Jana Str. or via the new PKP terminal tunnel.

From Warsaw, Lodz, Czestochowa and Katowice airport : Take S86 Expressway (Aleja Murckowska), direction Tychy and Bielsko Biala and after 700m turn right to A4 motorway, direction Wroclaw (Aleja Gornoslaska). After 500m turn right again to Francuska street (exit “centrum”), continue for 1000m to reach the road junction with Jagiellonska street and turn left. Continue straight on to the junction with Kochanowskiego street and turn right, go under the bridge and turn right again to Dworcowa street. Hotel is situated on the left side of the street.
