Grande Albergo Miramare once belonged to Queen Helena of the Italian royal Savoy family. Offering a private beach, a large garden with swimming pool and sea views, it is 3 km from Formia town centre and train station. Rooms at this 4-star hotel are air conditioned and have a classic design. They all feature an LCD TV, a minibar and a private bathroom with a bathrobe and slippers. All rooms offer views of the garden and some have a balcony. You can relax out on the terrace where you will find plenty of sun loungers and parasols. The Grande Miramare provides free parking and is 5 minutes' drive from Formia Train Station for trains to Rome and Naples. Breakfast is buffet style, while the restaurant offers international cuisine and a wide choice of wines. Gluten-free, diet and children's meals are also available.
