"Pros: Hats off to Nkisi for their entrepeneureal spirit. Kang is a town in Botswana bang in the middle of an enormously long and challenging road between South Africa and Namibia border posts. It is a new town that is being laid out. You can see the infrastructure being built, roads being laid etc. There is a fuel station and thats about it. The area is barren and dry. Nkisi lodge is clearly in a state of constant improvement and development. They have a wonderful swimming pool and are clearly building an oasis garden. Their rooms are neat and clean. They also do have a facility for travellers to eat a meal and have a drink. Staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: Accomodation is still 'rough around the edges' with eccentricities. The rooms vary from light and open to an emergency room they opened for us which we called 'the dungeon' which was dark and hot and claustrophobic. Eccentricities include a weird powerful spotlight in each room that will not switch off, and a weird approach to the breakfast menu and pricing. They also seem to be milking their location advantage with their pricing especially the add-ons." ~Deborah
