"Pros: Great location, clean enough.
Cons: The room is fine, but it is more of a backpacker hotel, a little rundown, untidy and not well maintained. Though I saw that some rooms are definitely better than others, luck of the draw on which you are assigned." ~Sdf
"Pros: We arrived at 6am and the check-in staff offered an early check-in. The beds comes with heated blankets which is needed especially during the frosty times in SAPA. A storage room was provided to keep our luggage while we trekked.
Cons: Our allocated room's hot water did not work as well, it went from hot to cold. The aircon to use for heating did not work very well." ~Charné
"Pros: Mimosa Hotel is in the heart of Sapa City. We stayed for 2 days on April 5-7, booked two rooms with mountain view. Location wise is 10/10. It is very near to everything, shopping area, restaurants (literally would take you few steps). We enjoyed shopping in Sapa. The hotel is just a walking distance (around 150m) easy uphill to the Sunplaza(gateway to Fansipan). Easily accessible by Grab. From the main street you have to go down a few steps to access the road where the hotel is situated. The owners are also the staff. It is like a family owned and managed hotel. They are friendly but we didnt find such hospitality or support as what we had experienced in a hotel in Hanoi. One of the staff (daughter of the owner) speaks and understands english. But with the others, google translate is a must. The hotel room, 6th floor was spacious and the corner room with nice view. Though it was foggy and misty and rainy during our stay, we can see that the view would be really nice. There is a hot water facility which is a must in the cold Sapa weather. The bed has an electric heater which makes you sleep comfortably. There is a hair dryer; clean towels, complimentary bottled water.
If you arrive earlier than check in time, they allow you to keep your luggage. The same goes through when you check out but travel time later, they allow you to keep your luggages in the dining area and go for some other activities, and also allow you to use their bathroom for some fresh ups before traveling, without extra cost.
The only thing that i really have to transparently mention for their improvement, is the cleanliness. On our last day while we were re arranging our luggage in the dining area where they store the luggage of their guests, there was a cat poop under the table. I called the receptionist who immediately took it off with tissue paper but did not disinfect the floor, which was quite disappointing and disgusting. I hope it will not happen again.
Cons: There was "cat poop" under the table in the dining area. Im sorry to mention this but i have to for their improvement because the hotel is good. Just improve the cleanliness. Also, the other room where my friends stayed, in the fifth floor, the linen was dirty and with some evidence of being used or not changed into a new one (there is hair and crumpled). There was no telephone to call the receptionist. My friends had to go to the ground floor reception area to inform them about the unchanged linen. They immediately sent their housekeeping though. But quality assurance measures should be taken to ensure cleanliness and client satisfaction." ~Teresita
