"Pros: The furnishings are beautiful! It’s an eclectic vibe! From the art to the antique pieces and European influence, the place was beautiful and interesting. We loved the backyard. Plenty of space to relax and dine outdoors. The downstairs room was wonderful with a karaoke machine. My kids play piano, and loved playing on the one in the room. Really great entertainment space. Cons: First of all- the Vacasa company was a big disappointment. They misrepresented the home. The ad states on booking: “Pets Welcome. No additional charges”, and includes photos of the lake with a boat dock and pier. We booked this place because we were excited to bring our 2 dogs and our boat. When I received the rental contract it stated, “no pets”. I inquired about the dogs and the boat dock to find out details, and was told that there is a 1, small dog, limit, and $20 a day pet fee! To top it off, there is no boat dock available. Vacasa said they would waive the fee for the dog (even though the ad said no fee), but this put us into a bind to board our medium size dog. Total misrepresentation of the property, and the company just responds with canned and pre-written replies. We booked the place for 4 days, with 9 people and there was 1 kitchen trash bag. When we realized this on the second night, I texted Vacasa and got no reply. I called and spoke to a rep, who “put in a ticket”. We had some bags delivered the next day. I just found the company to not be customer friendly, and dishonest. It’s a shame that such a nice home is being mishandled by poor property management. The price skyrocketed with cleaning fees, which nearly doubled the original $1100 cost. We paid just under $2k, with half being fees from Vacasa. It’s a shame you can’t enough trash bags or a clear hot tub for cost of their cleaning fees… The property has recently been updated or built, and there were unfinished jobs and a poor cleanup. My 5 year old brought “treasures” to us from the backyard. They were a piece of rebar and some broken or unused glass solar lights. I do recommend cleaning up the grounds. Building materials were everywhere. The Chanel’s bed mattress is comfy and soft, but sinks in the middle. The downstairs bedroom has a super firm mattress. Both master rooms have a high window without coverings that is lit through the night by an outdoor light, not allowing the rooms to get dark." ~Tracey
