The Lamplighter also hosts folk, jazz and blues nights on a Wednesday. Built from Lakeland Stone, the hotel features a relaxing guest lounge with ample seating. There is also a large car park, providing free private parking for guests. The building has maintained its original features, including grand fireplaces and large sash windows. The Lamplighter is just 2 minutes’ walk from Windermere Railway Station and coach stop. Situated just off the A591, which runs right through the Lake District, Orrest Head is 10 minutes’ walk away. The famous lake can be reached in just 20 minutes.
