"Pros: Very well renovated & tastefully modernised mid terraced house. Superb location for getting to places of interest in both Co Durham & a little further afield in Northumberland. Kitchen equipped with all the basics for meal preparation. We found the beds really comfortable in both the double & twin bedded rooms. The area is a very quiet residential area so we had no disturbance from external noise. There was no problem at all parking outside the house on the street. We were a party of 3 adults but the house could well be used by a family. We had very minor teething problems which the hosts responded to postively . Would use the property again with no hesitation.
Cons: Enjoyed our stay. The house met our needs perfectly. The only downside could be for less mobile guests as the internal staircase is quite steep."

"Pros: Owner Jade came back to work to handle a booking.com error, spending 4 hours on the phone to a call centre.They'd advertised her pub rooms even tho they were closed for renovation. Booking.com took my money, confirmed stay then asked her to pay over 3000 pounds for alternative rooms even tho it was their error.
Cons: Booking.com seem to be abusing their monopoly power to exploit small business owners who have no choice but to use them. They offered terrible, no, robber baron customer service, verging on gangster tactics. An awful 1984 experience where their website and call centre staff operated independently of whether or not the hotel was open or had rooms - overbooking many times AND taking payment for a service that didn't exist. I honestly didn't believe a business could do this. My trust in this brand is broken, they should never have grown this big and hold hard working independents businesses survival in their cold, corporate hands"
