"Pros: The facilities were amazing, we really enjoyed the hot tub, games room, each bedroom had its own bathroom and they were all of a high standard. The location was central to Kirkby Stephen and an hours drive from Windermere, so it was perfect for our short weekend getaway. Cons: The heating system wasn’t working for both days of our stay, the hive system’s were not charged and so we bought batteries to put in them, but they couldn’t find the boiler system to connect to. We couldn’t feel this much as it was summer, but such a big house did still get cold and we could’ve done with the heating, especially for the kids. The hot water also wasn’t working on our second night, which was an issue when needing to shower after using the hot tub. I tried contacting the so-called out of hours number but no one picked up, and it was around 9pm when we came across the issue. A video was sent on how to trouble shoot the issue but we were checking out in a couple of hours so there was really no point in us trying to do it ourselves. There were also stains on pillows in one of the bedrooms." ~Riaz
