"Pros: Excellent location for us. Within easy walking distance of the village and a good base for driving around the Peak District. House very comfortable and we felt very ‘at home’. Parking space for one car which is always a must for us. There is a nice area with hot tub which is obviously a very popular asset although we didn’t use it. Lots of space in the house with a nice kitchen and lounge area. We enjoyed our stay. Cons: Only a suggestion, but front steps could benefit from more lighting as very dark at night even with door light on." ~Susan

"Pros: Loved the layout of the house, perfect for two with a nice outdoor space. The hot tub was necessary after all the walking we did! Location was great too, enough in the village with a restaurant and pubs and walks from the front door. Cons: Just a few things that might be useful to know. There was everything we needed in the kitchen, however, some of the pans and baking trays were very well used. The house was quite dusty with cobwebs in places and although we followed instructions and showered before using the hot tub, a scum line formed suggesting it wasn't clean. We were lucky to have perfect weather when we stayed, a BBQ would have been a great addition!" ~Claire

"Pros: Great location for our party as we were visiting family in Macclesfield. We would have liked to explore more however we had a full itinerary already booked. We were lucky with the December weather so had some beautiful views of the Pennines in the winter sun. The house was lovely, very clean however a little tired in places. This did not detract from our stay Cons: Although information was given some of this could have been clearer, for example where to put laundry when we had stripped the beds, not in the washing machine as instructed but no other information given and no laundry basket, so we left it outside bedroom doors. Communication was generally good throughout booking." ~Sarah

"Pros: Access was easy. The beds were very comfortable. Good mattresses and nice linen. Lovely big lounge and spacious kitchen & dining area. Parking was good for 2 cars. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped. Plenty of hot water & nice & cosy. Ideal for our stay. Cons: We left a note for the owner to suggest getting a big pan for eg pasta and to replace frying pans, but other crockery, etc, was fine. Bathroom floor had not been cleaned." ~Winnats
