"Pros: In a peaceful corner of Fulstow, on the edge of the very pretty Lincolnshire Wolds, not far from the lively market town of Louth. A beautifully appointed one bedroomed extension, which was once a 'granny flat', it is well furnished and spacious. And as an added bonus, the cottage boasts a fully operational stairlift for the less able-bodied amongst us.
The bedroom is enormous, with Velux roof windows giving plenty of light and ventilation, as well as excellent views. Steve and Lindy are excellent and generous hosts, with a wealth of local knowledge. They have a number of paddocks with some lovely horses and ponies, not to mention the two collies and free range chickens (check out the fresh eggs!)
The property is heated both with radiators throughout (Google controlled - dead easy!), and a lovely wood-fired stove for those colder evenings...you will not be cold! The kitchen is well provisioned without being fussy, and we ate in several times (although we were only 15 minutes walk away from The Cross Keys, renowned for excellent pub grub).
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Saddle Rack Cottage, and I struggle to find anything to criticise...if I was pushed, I would suggest a more comfortable suite in the lounge, the leather look sofa is a bit slidey and difficult to curl up on. Would that stop us booking again? Hell no!" ~Mags
