"Pros: We liked the location, central to where we wanted to explore... nice to come back after a day out to relax in the hot tub, during the week was fairly peaceful, the actual site is done very well and looks attractive. We got to see quite a lot of different birds, including a wood pecker right on the tree outside the cabin, baby ducks and swans with their babies, rabbits, there was a bird nesting at the cabin, a swift or swallow. Cons: Sadly, for what we paid to stay there we do not class this as a luxury retreat. The spa pool cover had moss growing on it and the handle was broken, the outside broom the head fell off the handle as soon as we moved it, the clothes airer was broken. The windows were not that clean, the oven was filthy, the fridge had a broken shelf so bottles could not be stored inside the door, the red sofa on one side was sunken and when the foot rest was released had to push it back in with our hands. Blind missing from the door and lounge blind had a tear in it. The wood inside the cabin was dusty and a few cobwebs hanging about. The shower was very tiny, not much room to move in it and was not clean around the fixtures. No mattress or pillow protectors, sheet straight onto matress, no clock radio as advertised. The neighbouring cabin had very noisy people staying in it and at times was not peaceful including a barking dog and the smell of wacky tobacco was very strong and lingering in the air. Not much storage for clothes, a wardrobe in one bedroom and a dresser in the other, so if you had two couples staying in the cabin, you would get either a wardrobe or a dresser and not both." ~Don
