"Pros: A delightfully cosy cottage which was an ideal base for 3 adults and a dog for the week. I met the owner on arrival as he was finishing off making the place spotlessly clean (and also made me a cup of tea while I waited!). The kitchen was very well equiped and our welcome included tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, crumpets and jam. The downstairs storage heaters provided ample heat, so we didn't make use of the open fire. There was plenty of hot water for showers, with a booster facility available if required. The cottage has carpets in the lounge which was great as the dog is getting old and tends to slip on laminate. We never struggled finding a space to park the cars. The local area was very peaceful during the day with just a few cars and tractors passing by. We did pleasant walks either from the cottage or by driving further afield (eg Spurn). We used the train to Beverley, the bus to Driffield and drove to Malton and Pickering." ~Paul
