"Pros: Brilliant location and amazingly cute building to stay in. Everything you need within walking distance and a short drive to Matlock. Lovely walks in the area and even better scenery. Kind welcome package upon arrival, nice and friendly hosts and I enjoyed the booklet with walks and attractions. Hosts went above and beyond in the simplest ways, overall such a lovely Retreat Cons: Photos lead me to believe that we would get a small garden, not the case instead of somebody else's driveway. Right outside windows. The neighbours also left their hose on the entire night right outside the bedroom window. Not much parking options. Would love to of had another frying pan too. Small things, but overall a really amazing place to stay and thank you for the little bits and bobs to make it feel more welcoming" ~Ryan

"Pros: It was so light, the sofa was comfy, the bed was comfy. It had a dishwasher and washing machine, plus a washing line outside which came in very handy as our clothes got sweaty on our long walks. Loads of plates, mugs and bowls, kitchen had everything you needed and it was good equipment. Garden had lots of sun spots. Good shower, towels were nice and fluffy. So many walks right off your doorstep you can walk for miles without having to get in the car. 3 pubs in the village, a cafe and 2 shops but still has a small village feel. Cons: If you do have a reactive dog, the garden is next door to the cemetery pathway and the gates to the garden are metal so you can see through, our young dog would frequently get triggered in the garden but there were quite a few woofy dogs around the village and they all set each other off sometimes. Also, not a negative but just for us personally, the laminate floor is quite slippy for dogs and in hindsight we should have bought our grippy yoga mats for our senior pup. Our house also now feels dark in comparison to how much light was in the property! We’ll miss it!" ~Rachel

"Pros: Lovely comfy attached house with everything you need. The house was perfectly clean and our host was absolutely attentive and always easy to contact. Wonderful garden wirh lots of flowers and absolutely peaceful quiet nights. The village though is surprisingly lively: There are three pubs, a cafe with post office and a shop with local produce, fresh meat, dairy, braed and nearly everything you might need." ~Matthias
