In Bowness-on-Windermere, Puddle Duck Lodge offers free parking for 1 car per room and is 30 minutes’ drive from the M6. The shores of Lake Windermere are just a 10-minute walk away and the property is just a mile from Windermere Railway and Coach Station. The bright and airy bedrooms have all the facilities you will need and more. They also have wonderful views of our award winning cottage garden. A complimentary breakfast hamper, items chosen by you from a broad menu, will be delivered to your room where there is a dining table to start the day in private and relaxed comfort. Popular local activities include boat trips and water sports on Lake Windermere, as well as walking and cycling in the Lake District National Park. There are many gardens, heritage properties and places of historical interest to enjoy. Also there is the fantastic open top bus! The town of Bowness has many attractions: independent shops, boutiques, The World of Beatrix Potter, a fantastic period cinema, the Old Laundry theatre, varied restaurants, cafés and pubs, all just a two minute walk away from Puddle Duck Lodge. Although we welcome pets please contact us first in order to avoid disappointment. Also be aware that pet stay charges apply.

This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Please inform Puddle Duck Lodge – Adults Only in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Please note that bedrooms are located on the second floor and are accessible via stairs only. Parking is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. The guest is liable for any damages made to the property by themselves during their stay, and will be charged for damages if necessary. Check-in times are strictly between 15:00 and 19:00. Please note that Puddle Duck Lodge only has 2 dog-friendly rooms. A maximum of 1 small dog per room is permitted. Dogs are charged at GBP 20 for the first night and GBP 5 for each subsequent night, payable on arrival. Please note that Puddle Duck Lodge is strictly adults-only. No additional guests will be accepted in the room over the number specified in the booking. Arriving with children or additional guests will result in guests being asked to leave and the reservation will be charged in full.
