"Pros: The location is rural but not too far off the main road, easy to locate. The property is large, great place for a family gathering with 4 en-suite bedrooms and loads of downstairs accommodation, including 2 sitting rooms. The bar area off the dining room is great and makes for a fun evening after dinner. The kitchen is very well equipped and the AGA was a nice addition providing lots of warmth and an instant cooking facility. The Lodge has great views and the fields are full of highland cattle, right next door. Good base for lots of local walks too. Cons: You definitely need to come well prepared if cooking and eating in the lodge, bring everything with you although there is a Spar in the next village for essentials." ~Julie

"Pros: This is a very nice property with plenty of room and very well equipped. The furnishings are of a high standard and everything is clean and tidy. There is a nice garden to the front and rear, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Nice quiet location. Cons: A very minor comment; the shower in the main bathroom is a little dated, but perfectly adequate." ~Stephen

"Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the Star, the rooms were lovely, with private outdoor space to enjoy. Spotlessly clean, comfortable with good facilities. The staff were amazing, the food delicious and the locals great fun! Sooty the cat was an added bonus 🐈‍⬛. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful to explore, with the stunning coast within easy reach. Highly recommended and worth every penny. Cons: Nothing at all. It was perfect!" ~Maggie
