"Pros: We live locally but booked the house for the night before my wedding to stay with my daughters.
Fantastic house loved everything about it especially the fresh homemade cake !
Cons: Only slight negative and it is only slight that there is no tea and coffee provided. We stay in a lot of cottages and this was the first one where there wasn’t anything even just a starter pack would have been ideal."

"Pros: House is huge. Nice and clean. Key collecting instructions were clear. Close to lake district and city. Good parking place. Kitchen had all the things needed.
Cons: All the mattresses need to be changed as they are worn out. One day before arrival, I was told that the bathroom downstairs can't be used as roof leaking and thats the only toilet downstairs which was an inconvenience."

"Pros: The hotel is in a lovely location near Furness Abbey. It is a lovely looking building with friendly helpful staff. The freshly cooked breakfast was great
Cons: I paid for the Winter suite for my partner’s birthday as a surprise. Although it was OK, I was a little disappointed with the room. The carpet, described on the website as plush and sink into luxury, was thin, a little threadbare and coming apart in a couple of areas which was a trip hazard if you weren’t careful. There was a floor fan as there is no air conditioning and because the floor is uneven, it was levelled using a bit of cardboard. The room was a little tired overall which was more disappointing as we have stayed in a standard room here before which was to a far better standard and much cheaper. I chose the hotel based on that stay and was hoping the suite would have been to the same standard.
These are not major issues but it was a special occasion and I was a little disappointed. However I cannot fault the staff and general condition of the property and it’s location"
