"Pros: The property was clean, bedding clean and shower good. Was in a good location, five minutes walk to center of Ambleside Cons: It was very, very tired. Wallpaper coming off the walls, damp on wall near door, kitchen equipment very poor, snail trail on carpet in the mornings, garden advertised a table and two chairs and for all four cottages, front door could easily be broken into." ~Anonymous

"Pros: The property is in a good location. It’s close enough to walk to the centre of Ambleside. The property was very comfortable, quaint and nicely finished, it had everything we needed for during our stay. The property has underfloor heating which was lovely. There is a dressing room which was very useful as the bedroom is small so limited for storage space. There is hanging space and some drawers and hangers were provided. The dressing room meant you could store cases and dress comfortably. It also meant we could dry clothes on the airer provided after a very muddy walk. The washing machine is a washer dryer if you prefer. Ambleside is a good location for some nice walks and within walking distance of the pier for the lake cruise. There are some really good places to eat and have a drink. Cons: The parking is very tight, we only have a small car and sharing the space with the neighbouring cottage was a push especially as the road bends and is narrow. The stairs are interesting, take some slippers as they are metal and can be uncomfortable under foot. A torch would be handy as the walk up to the cottage is not the best lit and we forgot to take one. The cottage is also up a hill so be prepared for the walk back after a big dinner or a few pints." ~Emma
