"Pros: Excellent facilities in the kitchen . Comfy beds.
Great location . Views from balcony were breathtaking, especially as we had snow.
Cons: There is a horrible strong damp moldy smell, Constantly in the house. We found it quite off putting and when we were in always had to have windows or patio door open.
A baby gate at top of the stairs maybe helpful ."

"Pros: The property is in a good location. It’s close enough to walk to the centre of Ambleside.
The property was very comfortable, quaint and nicely finished, it had everything we needed for during our stay. The property has underfloor heating which was lovely. There is a dressing room which was very useful as the bedroom is small so limited for storage space. There is hanging space and some drawers and hangers were provided. The dressing room meant you could store cases and dress comfortably. It also meant we could dry clothes on the airer provided after a very muddy walk. The washing machine is a washer dryer if you prefer.
Ambleside is a good location for some nice walks and within walking distance of the pier for the lake cruise. There are some really good places to eat and have a drink.
Cons: The parking is very tight, we only have a small car and sharing the space with the neighbouring cottage was a push especially as the road bends and is narrow.
The stairs are interesting, take some slippers as they are metal and can be uncomfortable under foot.
A torch would be handy as the walk up to the cottage is not the best lit and we forgot to take one. The cottage is also up a hill so be prepared for the walk back after a big dinner or a few pints."
