"Pros: Alavya Hotel is a truly charming retreat set within a beautifully restored stone house that blends traditional Aegean aesthetics with understated luxury. The pool area is a highlight — elegantly designed and perfect for a relaxing afternoon, especially with the attentive poolside drink service. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. I particularly appreciated the seamless communication via WhatsApp both before and during my stay, which made everything feel personal and efficient. The complimentary in-town transport was a thoughtful touch, and the hotel’s location right on the lively pedestrian street is unbeatable. The on-site restaurant offered warm service, and the yoga class was unexpectedly intense and energizing — a real stand-out experience. Cons: The spa attendants were unfriendly, and the sauna was not functional during my visit. Several cardio machines in the gym were also out of order. In the room, I encountered some unpleasant surprises — dirty brown water came out of the bathtub initially, which was both unhygienic and off-putting. The Wi-Fi was unreliable at times, making it difficult to stay connected, and there was no convenient space to charge or use a laptop, which made working from the room frustrating. Additionally, while the staff were well-meaning, many struggled with English, which occasionally made communication challenging.
