"Pros: It is in a nice location and the room is fairly big. The AC worked well and the shower ran well.
Cons: We had a less than ideal interaction with the chef they advertise for the cooking classes. I’m not sure if she is the owner, but it came across that way.
I dropped off laundry to one of the employees and asked how much it would cost; the employee said “don’t worry about it” to which I replied “is it included?” And she nodded her head. About 30 hours later we asked for our laundry and the owner brought it to us with a bill. My boyfriend explained the conversation we had with one of her employees and said we could pay anyways. The owner asked us “who told you it was free.” I explained the conversation I had with her employee and she left.
This is where the interaction was less than ideal… the owner brought one of her employees to our room and said “is this her” wanting me to confirm who gave us free laundry. I said no and then the owner called another employee with our door wide open so we could watch her do it. It was extremely uncomfortable. I felt like I was being interrogated and could potentially get someone in a lot of trouble for what could be a 200 baht miscommunication. After a bit the owner slammed our door shut and we did not see her again.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here for the simple reason that no one should treat guests or their employees that way. Mistakes happen but it should be a private conversation between employer and employee."
