"Pros: We had an unbelievable stay with Jittra and Gai. They were very welcoming, and after explaining, my sister has twisted her ankle recently. Gai adapted our trip to Tham Lod cave to make it possible for us both to visit this spectacular place. Gai is born and raised in Tham Lod , so as a guide, he is amazing, explaining in detail the history of the cave and the surrounding area with great pride and knowledge. By staying at their homested, we were able to visit the caves after the day tourists had left, and witnes the awsomme sight of the swifts returning to the cave and the bats going off into the night. Jittra also accompanied me to the Tuesday market where hill tribe people join together to sell their wares. She spent time explaining the different foods and spices. Jittra cooked us amazing food during our stay. Gai also does one to three day trecks, for more active guests (I wish I was ten years younger ) as his knowledge and good Engish speaking skills would make these trips fabulous. I really would recommend staying for at least 2 nights to take a tour with Gai rather than doing a long arduous day trip from Pai with a guide who doesn't have the knowledge and enthusiasm of Gai. We hope to return one day."

"Pros: Wow what a find if you love nature appreciate a highly rural location, outstanding service and attention to detail from the owners, then this will be a real find for you.
The quality of accommodation is well above anything you will find in the best of hotels in Northern Thailand. This build has been lavished with an attention to detail in design and execution which now continues into the day to day running and will leave you wanting for nothing.
Yes it is at a reassuringly higher price than surrounding accommodation, but you really will be getting what you pay for. We can only thank Phillip and Gail for giving us excellent food and the benefit of their local knowledge.

"Pros: Decent stay in quiet area. There is a restaurant on site with good food. The area felt secure for our motorcycles
Cons: Room is in older building with thin walls so you hear movement and voices if you have a neighbor. Beds are hard. Price was more than it was worth…even after discounts"
