"Pros: We loved Baan Koh Mak very much. From the moment Kim picked us up from the ferry until
the moment we left he was so helpful and kind (with a beautiful smile that was infectious 😊). We originally booked for 4 nights but extended another 3 nights until they closed for the low season. The accomodation is perfect and exactly as described, really nice design and interiors. Our room was cleaned every second day which was more than enough. As mentioned. we were here heading into the low season so the restaurant wasn’t open but this was not an issue at all - in fact we loved the quiet vibe. A number of great Thai restaurants are within walking distance including a vegan restaurant right next door. The beach is a little rocky but no problems swimming there, we often wondered up a bit further to the right of the beach for great swimming. The grounds are lovely and very well kept by the staff every day. Golf cart & scooter hire available directly through Kim.
Cons: Nothing, we loved it and only moved due to closing down on the 28th April for low season.
People here have complained about the rubbish on the beach, this is not the properties fault, it’s humans being humans. I spent a morning collecting rubbish along the entire beach, if we all pitched in the beach could be cleaner each day. Koh Mak is proudly environmentally friendly - as guests to the island I believe we should all help." ~Tina
