"Pros: The host, Aki is really friendly and welcoming. She graciously waited for us when we informed her that we could only arrive at 8.30pm and still took the time to give us a tour of the house. There are only 2 rooms, 1 on the ground floor and 1 on the second floor. We stayed in the room on the ground floor as we had luggage, it is pretty spacious for 4 people. Room looks exact to photos online. There isn’t really a window/view however. Everything is spic and span and there are welcome snacks provided. It is an old house and at night it gets really quiet. Sometimes closing the bathroom door would create a echoing sound. Breakfast isn’t provided but there is information available on recommended breakfast places nearby. Aki is always readily providing assistance so don’t feel shy to ask! Best host ever~ Location is quite centralised, if you don’t mind walking a little. We could walk to Shennong street in 12mins, Hayashi Dept Store and other places of interest could be reached by foot as well. A cab to/from Tainan train station should only cost around 100 TWD. Cabs are not as readily accessible as Taipei, do factor in some waiting time. Cons: It can get a little too quiet at night, because there are only 2 rooms available in the guesthouse. You would be the only occupant in the whole house if the other room isn’t booked. The host does not stay there. Great for people who love utter quietness." ~Jasmine
