"Pros: 南庄東村宿舍 is a charming and cozy place, conveniently located very close to the 老街 area. Although it offers futon-style bedding, it was by far the most comfortable stay I had during my entire long weekend trip in Taiwan—better than any hotel. The owner is extremely friendly, and parking is conveniently nearby. I would highly recommend staying at 南庄東村宿舍 if you're visiting Nanzhuang.
Cons: It can be a bit inconvenient having to walk to the nearby shared toilet and shower facilities, especially since there's only one shower cubicle, which might require waiting during busy times."

"Pros: Lovely little guest house. Owner and staff were lovely and helpful. Room was a good size and very comfortable. Bathroom was basic, but shower hot and powerful. Lovely to wake up to sounds of birds in the morning. Breakfast was simple but just right.
Cons: Location is about 200m further north than marked on Booking.com, can be easily missed, but look out for the building as shown in the pictures. It's about 50m back from the road down a small driveway."
