"Pros: It seems new. Clean lobby and rooms. Rooms were well designed and easy to navigate. They have everything you may expect from a good hotel. Don’t be afraid to book here if you don’t speak Chinese. We overcame the language barrier with translation tools. Owners are patient with non Chinese speakers. I would recommend staying here. Cons: No breakfast at hotel or in the immediate vicinity. They have good coffee and a nice table where you can eat though so you might want to bring your own food. Otherwise you’ll have to walk to the closest 7-11. It’s not far but a bit unpleasant since Hualien is not that pedestrian friendly. The road from train station to the hotel is short (about 9 minutes) but might be difficult to navigate if you have a lot of luggage. Again, not great for pedestrians. Airplane noise can be heard from room but not during the night. It didn’t disturb us because we were already awake." ~Sharon
