"Pros: Owner made attempts to communicate with me over the phone about how he only accepts cash and that he requires a local bank transfer for a deposit before staying. The hot water worked. It was quiet (but given the paper-thin walls it surely wouldn't have been if I wasn't the only guest that night). That's about it for the positives. Cons: The owner is certainly not an interior designer. Random colors and patterns all over the place. Odd and cramped use of space. Random decorations that didn't seem to fit any particular theme. But the biggest downsides were- 1. No WiFi. 2. Poor building quality with poor insulation. At one point, it was 14C inside. 3. Very thin bathroom towels. They were like cheap children's towels. 4. Kettle was provided, but no tea or coffee. Perhaps most Taiwanese travel with their own tea or coffee? Overall, it was a mid-priced accommodation that was of a low-priced quality." ~David
