"Pros: Shabby house provided a very unique stay experience, as the house is quite literally built into the mountainside that Jiufen sits on. Our host (謝淑菁/Jane) was extremely kind and helpful in terms of planning our short stay in Jiufen. She gave excellent recommendations for dining and things to do, and gave us detailed instructions on how to get there with a very easy to read map of Jiufen. The house offered spectacular views of the ocean, Jiufen Qingyun temple, and of Jiufen itself. The location was perfect in that it was close enough to Jiufen old street to walk, but was far enough away that our stay was peaceful and quiet. "Pros: Owner came to meet us and pick up our luggages. easy to explore and our 6 n 10 yr old are completely entertained with the toys and playroom which is part of our room. Happy and pleasant stay with delicious sandwich breakfast. Cons: only if we can get a good view in our room." ~Jieying
