"Pros: The apartment is very central, with a short walk to the train station, the high street, several supermarkets, and the Zermatt-Sunnegga ski lift. Life in all of Zermatt was severely disrupted while we were there. Heavy snowfall and avalanches caused a power cut, and closure of rail lines, roads, supermarkets, restaurants, walking trails and ski lifts for two out of the four days we were there. Nevertheless, we very much enjoyed the apartment, and the owner and the caretaker were both fantastically helpful, and they kept us up-to-date on when services would be re-opened. The owner even treated us to a fantastic meal at Le Chalet da Guiseppe, when it re-opened.
Cons: There are a lot of stairs to climb up to the apartment. There was much snowfall while we were there, and although the caretaker was very good at clearing snow, the stairs were icy in the mornings, although that ice quickly disappeared when the sun reached the valley floor."
