The Hotel Frohe Aussicht hotel enjoys a quiet location in Schwende in the Alpstein Hiking Area. It offers free WiFi, fine regional cuisine, and a sauna. You can enjoy seasonal, fish, games and mushroom dishes and fine wines from the hotel's well-stocked cellar. During summer, you can dine outside on the terrace. It takes you only a 10-minute drive or a 20-minute bike ride to reach Appenzell from Schwende. The station of the Appenzellerbahn is only 200 metres away from the Hotel Hotel Frohe Aussicht.

You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. The restaurant is closed on our rest day (Wednesday and Thursday). In this case, you can easily check in with us yourself. Of course, you can also enjoy the Appenzeller breakfast buffet on the rest day from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Children of any age are allowed. Children up to and including 6 years old stay for free when using an available cot. People 15 years old and over stay for CHF 52 per person per night when using an available extra bed. Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by management. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
