"Pros: This is a unique property in the Vaud region, near Lake Geneva. Whereas most chateaux feature gilded portraits and immaculate antiques etc., the kindly and knowlegable proprietor at the Chateau de Dedens has preserved the authentic nature of the historic building which is a working vineyard with a fascinating wine sampling cave. Genuinely, it is like stepping back into the 18th century with flashes of modernity such as the large and clean en suite. I recommend it to lovers of architecture, wine and nature. Cons: Nothing. "Pros: Nice host . Supplies such as coffee,tea,juice,water, and a treat of chocolate were available for guests. Nice and clean. Cons: Would advise getting a taxi from the train station if you have a lot of luggage as it is a steep walk to the accommodation.Cost about 12 euro approximately,although without luggage it is fine." ~Murphy
