"Pros: The apartment was very clean and most things were provided. (Oven dish, mixer, wine opener, …) A garage is available on -1 which is very convenient and supermarkets are closeby. The city center of Locarno is easy reachable. Cons: It is a typical rental apartment made to rent out. Don’t expect the personal touch / details you would get if the apartment is also used by own people. When we booked it was mentioned that garage etc are available. After booking we got the question if we would like garage for 30chf/night, if we would like to rent a babychair for 10chf, a baby bed for 45 chf, …. Like this I felt like the communication on price was not clear." ~Sofie

"Pros: Great location, easy walk into town. Apartment had everything we needed. The lady we met at check-in was very nice and helpful. Smart house controls were easy to use and understand. No visible heating so it did get a bit cold going into Autumn. Bed was very comfortable and it was great to have a washing machine. Cons: Lighting wasn't sufficient in kitchen/dining and lounge area." ~Janet

"Pros: Very modern and efficient. Washer and dryer in unit very convenient. The apartment is quite high tech with a wall panel controlling lights, shutters, and climate that takes some getting used to. Nice smart TV so we could sign into our streaming accounts and watch movies. Also had BBC channels. Great appliances, including an excellent conduction cooktop. Location was a short walk from Piazza Grande and there were two grocery stores very close by. For a city, quiet, and we slept well. The staff in the office was very helpful even arranging a taxi for our departure. Well equipped kitchen and nice sofa for lounging, comfy bed. Cons: As an Italian and English speaker, I thought it odd that the high tech management system was in German. It would have been nice to be able to change the language to Italian or English. Luckily I understand a little German. Departure chores are an annoyance anywhere and this is no exception. Beds had to be stripped and it was not enough to load and run the dishwasher as all items had to be put away. That means hand washing final items so one wonders if leaving that to the guest is a good idea, hygienically. It seems to me that the cleaners should take the final load of trash out so we aren’t juggling that with as well as luggage when making a departure early in the morning. Recycling has to be taken about 400 meters off property, which also is challenging when you do not have a car. There should be facilities to do it closer, or just allow the items to be sorted and gathered in the apartment for disposal by the cleaners. There should have been enough toilet paper for the entire week-long stay instead of having to buy more in the office." ~Laurel
