"Pros: Location was perfect in the heart of town but close to the train station. I was able to walk next-door to do the first Grindelwald lift. Be sure to use your half pass there. Check-in staff at the hotel was amazing and very friendly. I felt very comfortable staying there alone."

"Pros: The pool and spa are a cut above the average for this standard of hotel. The pool is quite large and the whirlpool and sauna are excellent.
The set-menus at dinner are well prepared and enjoyable, and the portions are generous. The staff were very friendly and supplied our daughter with more when needed, and also with great desserts.
The hotel is close to the railway station, the First-Bahn and very close to a ski-bus stop, so it is easy to get to the lifts."

The Pfaffenstöckli is a quietly located, traditional chalet in the centre of Grindelwald, 200 metres from the Firstbahn Cable Car. It offers free garage parking and a south-facing balcony overlooking the mountains. Furnished in a modern Alpine style with wooden furniture and floors, the spacious apartment includes a bedroom, a living room with a flat-screen satellite TV and a dining area, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The free ski bus stops 100 metres, and guests of the Pfaffenstöckli enjoy free use of a sports centre 400 metres away. Grindelwald Dorf Train Station is 600 metres away, and it is 2 km to a golf course.
