"Pros: It's a beautiful location. Walkable distance from the bus stop in elder person with you. It's a steep walk. There is a walk via road as well but that is also uphill. Great location for folks with car. Busses in Grindelwald stop at 6:45 P.M so your option is only Taxi which has a wait period. We enjoyed staying there because we were 8 of us. We cooked breakfast and got dinner's home. enjoyed the meals while watching the nature with some nice drinks. You don't get this atmosphere in the hotel room. We came home last for two days but we did take a taxi and some of the kids took a walk of 1.2 miles from the train station.
Owner was nice and came and met us. Came and walk us thru the facility. Has an elevator and also washer dryer.
Property is safe and clean.
Cons: As I said the walk from bus stop is uphill and it is not for folks who have elder people in the group and has no car. In addition to that you have to take your own trash bags and any recycle items to the central dumpster located by the bus station. This is a tedious task is you don't have a car. I wish they would have let us keep the trash in the garage. This was the biggest pain point for us.
If possible reach there before 6 on day 1 to understand and take the bus."

"Pros: Location was excellent, balcony was great to watch cable cars and paragliders. Showers had plenty of hot water. Overall spacious inside. Very useful fridge freezer (although the documentation didn’t mention freezer). Great to have Netflix capability on TV with internet connection.
Cons: Instructions on how to get in property were confusing. At no point did the documentation state the family name Augustine. The key box inside the larger grey letter box was confusing too as we didn’t see it at the very back to begin with. Also, mixed messages about whether 300CHF deposit was needed. We took cash with us but didn’t need it, so lost money exchanging back. Sofa not particularly comfortable due to low back. Beds too hard. Apartment in general could do with a bit of TLC as it was tired in places. Bathroom door opened by itself and handle banged loudly on radiator behind which was annoying at night time."
