"Pros: Lovely warm, comfortable apartment. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen, with welcome fruit and bottles of water. Wonderful night sky! The host was charming, and the meal in the restaurant downstairs was excellent. You need a car to get there, but then it's only a 5-minute drive to the cable car to go up to the summit of the Stockhorn with the most amazing views. And 25 minutes to Interlaken. Cons: It is right on the main road through Simmertal, so it would be quite noisy in the summer if you have the windows open." ~Clare

"Pros: A very modern and well equipped house in a quiet and peaceful village. Kathrin (the owner) is super charming and kind, and made us feel at home. The fridge was filled with fresh food and we were able to enjoy some wine and local cheese outside in the terrace. Breathing fresh air after the steam sauna was also a very nice experience. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing stay away from busy and touristy areas. Cons: It was fine for us but if you don’t have a car and don’t like to walk up/down hills it might be a bit difficult to get around. (There is a bus to the train station but approximately once every hour. Same with the train, so you’ll have to plan ahead according to train/bus times.)
