"Pros: The location is beautiful! The suite was really spacious and perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. It was very quiet. The restaurant staff at breakfast were nice. Cons: The cleanliness was average. Our room was pretty good except for a lot of black mould in the shower and some cups in the kitchen that had been put away with gunk in them. It was also strange to have to make up the children’s beds ourselves- this should have been done before our arrival. The main building is lovely but the floors are so dirty! Everywhere in the bar, restaurant, lounge area the floor is dirty. The chairs are also not very clean (don’t lift up the cushions!!!) Such easy things to fix to make the hotel so much better! Some of the staff were helpful but no one was particularly outgoing or friendly, which was a shame. It would be so easy to have a warm welcome by reception, a nice introduction to the hotel and what was available to do but there was none of that." ~Jm

"Pros: Grindstugan is a very comfortable and cozy, beautifully designed and well-equipped place. Very nice owners. We loved the private bathing spot in the river, just a few steps away through the beautiful garden. An extra plus for the combined washing machine/dryer and that we were able to charge our hybrid car. Cons: It was ok for us, but it is good to know that there are no doors between the bedrooms." ~Lill-ann
