"Pros: Kåseberga is an amazing location for a countryside stay experience--the beauty of the seaside, nature, animals grazing nearby and a harbor scene with restaurants, gelato, and a few shops. The Hideout was well appointed with quality and comfort designed by the proprietor, Ulf. There is a garden patio for guests to hang out and he has a store for the camper van set that frequents the town. It is a truly unique destination for a getaway. The "stonehenge of Sweden" is a five minute walk away and a spectacular historic site with incredible views. I cannot say enough about what a special find it was! Skåne is a foodie paradise with great bakeries and restaurants in the small towns that crisscross the landscape. Do your homework and explore the area online beforehand and you will not be disappointed!! The best live music of our trip was Friday night at Kåseberga Fisk restaurant in the harbor.
Cons: You need a car to stay here as distances in Skåne are spread out over a larger area. There is free parking nearby for guests at the Hideout and that was a big convenience since parking in the town is limited." ~Susan
