"Pros: This house has everything you need, and it was all very clean!
Cons: It’s a bit far from the city center.
The rooms and bathroom looked a bit old-fashioned, but I guess thats also quite charming :)" ~Mandy
"Pros: We received a surprise upgrade to our room which was provided us as a family of four (2 adults and 2 toddlers), it gave us ample space for us all to move around (especially the kids who enjoyed running around). We were staying in an apartment on the top floor. We had two separate bedrooms witth two single beds put together in each, two toilets, one bathroom, a huge kitchen area with a small round table and two chairs, a dining room with a dining table that could seat 6, a huge living room/reception with a sofa and TV. The style of the flat was very heritage styled (wood floors, vintage furniture) which brought a nice element of experiencing what it must have been like living in a building from the 1800s. Very classy.
Kitchen however had been upgraded to a modern standard, equipped with pots, pans, porcelain sink, kettle, fridge, dishwasher and more. We had all the amenities we needed to be able to cook a meal and have dinner if we wanted to.
The breakfast was nice and had a decent buffet selection on offer of scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, crackerbread, bread, charcuterie, cheese, biscuits, coffee and tea, and smoothies (tasted really fresh and not full of sugar - win!). The location was very good, short walk 10-12 min walk from the station and less than 5 min walk from the shopping centre Boulevard, close transport links to buses and trains, and walking distance from good parks (Tivoliparken, Naturum).
Cons: TV reception was quite poor, not a lot of channels (about 4 that worked) and the rest were crackling up. We didn't spend our days staying in doors watching TV so we didn't mind for the most part but it would have been good to have decent working reception on some evenings or mornings when the kids wanted to watch a bit of TV. The placement of the TV against the wall did not help the view when sitting on the sofa. The angle wasn't the best. Some of the rooms looked like they had original old wood flooring, probably dated from when the building was built and one evening we spotted something small going between the floorboards. It didn't deter us just something to keep in mind.
Probably the most frustrating thing was the way to get to and from the apartment, as its located on the top floor, we took the lift from the reception floor to the second floor, had to walk through a long corridor past all other rooms, go out the fire exit door that leads to the stairs and go up to the next floor, up a circular staircase in order to get to the apartment. Carrying a pram, tired toddlers and shopping bags - it wasn't the smoothest experience at times." ~Linda-britt
