"Pros: We spent two nights at Kottawata Village and loved it! The charming little cottages by the pool, surrounded by nature, palm trees, and other greenery, created a magical atmosphere. On the first night, we were the only guests in the entire resort and felt like we were in paradise – the wind rustled through the trees, distant chanting from a nearby Buddhist temple could be heard, and from the open-air bathroom we watched fireflies at night. Breakfast was very generous, and the staff was friendly and attentive. They also serve dinner, and the hotel is just a short drive from Udawalawe National Park. We arranged the safari ourselves, but it is also offered by the accommodation. Cons: Wi-Fi was rather weak. On the second night, there was a somewhat noisy party in the resort, but we were informed in advance, so it didn’t come as a surprise" ~Eliška
