"Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Amaranthe Bay. Our room was beautiful and very clean, with everything we needed including excellent AC, TV, coffee making facilities, sofa area, and lockable safe. The bathroom was large with a good shower, and we particularly loved our jacuzzi tub and balcony area overlooking the pool. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and helped with anything we needed. The pool area was beautiful and clean, and we loved the cocktails from the bar. We also enjoyed having massages at the spa. The hotel was a short walk to Trincomalee beach and great local restaurants. Cons: The WiFi wasn't very good and we often struggled to connect. A curtain in front of the jacuzzi tub window would have also been useful as the net blinds meant the room got very light early. We also found the music played in the outdoor pool area not very relaxing or enjoyable (classical renditions of old pop songs on loop). Although the cocktails were great we weren't very impressed with the restaurant food so chose to eat out after a couple of visits." ~Anna
