"Pros: I was warmly welcomed from the very first moment. Chinthaka and his family are incredibly friendly, kind, always smiling and the best host you can ever imagine. The place itself was lovely, but the care and warmth I experienced made it truly special. I was invited for breakfast on Sinhalese New Year and they also gave me different types of fruits several times. The location is very quiet and calm surrounded by the forest, a lake and with the sounds of different types of animals. The room is very spacious with a lot of brigth with views to a beautiful garden. All is very new and with a private kitchen including washmachine. "Pros: The cottage is set back from the main roads making it a very quiet location. The nearest cafes are about 10 minutes walk away but you can always ask for a tuk tuk (or call yourself via the app). The house itself is very clean and neat. Rani was always ready to help and provide everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cons: Wifi router is located on the terrace and therefore in the far part of the room (specifically near the beds) very poor signal." ~Aliaksandr

"Pros: Me and my partner originally booked 3 nights, but we were so satisfied we decided to cancel other bookings and extend our stay in Peacock Villa for 3 more nights. Staff was very helpful and polite, they always helped with ordering tuktuks. When we arrived very late, they made us coffee, no questions asked. Breakfast was amazing, we could choose from 3 options each morning. Pool is very clean and the surroundings are beautiful. The view from our balcony was our favorite part - the jungle and a lot of monkeys (visiting us on balcony), birds, and trees full of fireflies😍 Beach was only 10 minutes walking distance.
