First evening was really late for going to dinner and since we wanted some snack before sleep, husband mentioned about delicious pancakes and we got coconut pancakes! It was really nice that they prepared it, especially nice feeling when you are on honeymoon :) Then breakfast - really delicious, lot of food so that you cant eat all :) View - magnificient! We really recommend this place since we had great experience during our stay of 2 nights! The best accomodation so far on our trip! Room - big and clean, with everything you need :)" ~Maja

"Pros: We could not recommend Rock Lake Home Stay more! This is a fantastic place to stay and our hostess (Anama) was incredibly welcoming, kind and went over and above to ensure that we had the best time. Anama provided an exceptional breakfast every day (very tasty and a great variety) and was so hospitable, always checking in and chatting with us and really made us feel at home. The home stay itself is beautiful, our room was very spacious and very clean with AC and a huge balcony that we could relax on in our downtime. We did not have any plans when we arrived in Sigiriya and Anama helped us to plan everything that we wanted to do and arranged all of our transport to/from attractions which was great. Anama also arranged a Safari trip for us (to national park Hurulu) which was amazing! This trip was so much more reasonable than any of the other offers we had seen advertised online (25,000 lkr for 2 people for a whole afternoon!) and was really good value for money. We saw so many elephants and our guide was great at showing us around the park whilst avoiding busy areas which meant that it was a much nicer experience than some of the other jeep safari’s we saw. This was our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka and I only wish we could give more stars!
