Everything was clean as promised. Nilu was simply a perfect host, she was there when needed, but never obtrusive. Guys, do YOURSELVES a favor and ask her to cook dinner for you! In the last evening we had a fantastic grilled fish that I will remember for a long time. "Pros: The room looked quite nice at first glance. We put our luggage down and went for a walk outside. Cons: Difficult to find this place. The location is poorly marked on the map. There is no sign on the house, so we passed it. Upon arrival we took the key and went out. On our return we found many problems. The kitchen could not be used because there was no gas and no refrigerator. WiFi was missing (supplied later on request). But the biggest problem was the increasingly intense chemical smell and moth caterpillars crawling on the floor. I couldn't sleep all night because there was an intense chemical smell in my room. When I first came in the afternoon, the room was perfumed, so the chemical smell was covered by the scent... It gave me a headache. It seemed very unhealthy. I guess it's pest control chemicals used amateurishly in extreme quantities... Even though I left the window and door open all night, the intense smell didn't go away. So I sit outside all night until morning and there was no escape from the multitude of mosquitoes. Despite the night's suffering, the owner demanded payment for this night of horror. He apologized, but only discounted a measly 400 LKR. I couldn't stay there any longer. I booked another hotel for the next night." ~Marek
