"Pros: Stopped here during a motorcycle trip while we were out chasing shots of migratory birds. The place is just a short walk from the beach, tucked away in the 3rd line, so it’s quiet and feels a bit more local than touristy. The room was spacious and super clean, which was a nice surprise, and the ventilation worked fine—you can open up the kitchen windows and get a nice breeze going. There’s a small kitchen if you wanna whip up something or just make tea, and the covered outdoor area in front is perfect for relaxing or having a meal. The hosts live just next door and are helpful but not intrusive. They provide a Dialog router, so you’re not completely off the grid. Price-wise, it’s really fair. Compared to other spots around, this one felt like good value. Cons: That said, there was one big downside—flies. A ridiculous amount of them would show up the moment you started eating. We ended up having to scarf down food quickly under a fan just to keep them off, which kinda killed the vibe. Still, all in all, solid place if you’re passing through and don’t mind dealing with a few (okay, a lot of) flies." ~Dmytro

"Pros: Room was comfortable with balcony overlooking the ocean. Nice pool. Staff very helpful. Nice food. Friendly place and helpful with transport and travel plans. Easy walk to other restaurants. Cons: It is a shame that the beach has been washed out by storms a few months ago." ~Leonard

"Pros: One of the best locations in Kalpitiya, very quite and relaxing, own beach where you can swim. Houses are quite comfortable, great value for money. Nice dinner (though included breakfast could be more than just coffee and toasts)). The host, Lees (sorry if misspell the name) and his wife very friendly and helpful. Hope to come again)" ~Vidya
