"Pros: The house is spacious and sufficiently well equipped. The terrace and the views you get are amazing, the small town where it is located is charming. Cons: The property is managed by a local agency which has provided misleading information on the website of Booking in two main ways: 1. In the description on Booking.com it was indicated that you are supposed to pay a deposit upon arrival which will be collected on departure after an inspection of the property. However, only after making a non refundable reservation on Booking, we have received a message indicating that the deposit needs to be paid prior to the arrival by card. It also needs to be paid trough a link which is external to Booking. Thus, in order to complete the reservation, we had to pay additional 200 EUR trough a website we did not know. I use Booking as I trust the platform based on my long experience using it and do not want to make transfers trough other platforms that I have never heard about. I communicated with the property that I would prefer covering the deposit as indicated on Booking, however, was still asked to pay the deposit in advance. Important to note is that after our stay and after we have raised the issue with the property, the description is now changed. 2. Nowhere in the description of the property it is mentioned that you are responsible for cleaning it after your stay. However, this is de facto the case as the conditions to get back the abovementioned deposit include that the property needs to be left with the same cleanness as it was found. I fully support the idea of not leaving a mess wherever you stay and always try to leave a place in proper conditions. However, cleaning the traces of standard property use, in my opinion, should be either covered by the property manager or, if this is not the case, this should be clearly stated in the conditions. As minor problems - some of the kitchenware was old and/or dirty and the kitchen sink was clogged when we arrived (we fixed it ourselves without contacting the property managers)." ~Vladimir
