"Pros: The apartment was very very clean. The cleaners spent a lot of time cleaning and did an exceptional job. They also had a second person verify the cleanliness of the the apartment before we could move in. The apartment was very spacious with the kitchen/living room, big master bedroom and second smaller bedroom. The air conditioner worked very well to cool down the whole apartment. It was very close to restaurants, shops, the Ramblas Market and the Las Ramblas street. It is also within 10 minute walk to the subway station. The owner was very responsive to all my texts and let us store our luggage before the actual check-in at 5:00 pm. The electronic key system to enter the building a apartment was convenient. The area around these apartments seemed safe even at night. We would definitely recommend this apartment as a place to stay in Barcelona. Cons: The apartment was at the top of the building and had approximately 90 stairs to climb since the elevator in the building was not working. It is a very strenuous climb especially with luggage. There were a few things that could be done to make the stay better. First the shower does not have a full door closure so when you take a shower the floor and toilet get wet from the water splashing out. Some type of curtain would be helpful. It would be helpful it they provided more towels so you could use some to dry off the floor. We were only there two nights and had one bath towel each. If we were staying longer, definitely need more towels. As mentioned earlier the cleaning was excellent, however, for a two night stay the $150 cleaning fee seemed a bit excessive. It would be nice to have a 3:00 pm check-in like most hotels instead of the 5:00 pm time." ~Dave
